The Most Overlooked Self-Improvement Tool: A Short Bio   Recently updated !

If you’ve never had a short bio written of yourself, you’re missing out on a great way to assess your goals and improve yourself. A short bio is like a mirror. But looking in the mirror only shows your physical appearance; a short bio captures concisely the meat of your life.

It’s a quick and direct way to see where you’re going. Are you reaching the goals you set for yourself in the past? Are you going in a direction that you’re happy with? Is the pace of your activities satisfactory? Are you doing what you want to do, or are you just following a plan that doesn’t really fit you?

There are few other paragraphs that you will ever read that will tell you as much about your life as will those few paragraphs that comprise your short bio. For instance, the short bios that I write for my clients concisely present the essence of their work, project, or purpose. In so doing, they provide a view that the client usually would be unable to envisage by any other tool than his or her short bio.

The short bio is often a window on one’s life through which even the subject of the bio has never fully glimpsed. It’s a fascinatingly useful view that everyone should have. It can be used to re-direct one’s life, hone the good parts and improve the not-so-good.
